Generator

The GE Lynn Hydrogen-Cooled Generator is completely enclosed with hydrogen as the cooling medium.  Its
proven design and long track record have proven its high durability for continuous operation with infrequent
service intervals.

The generator has been stored per OEM guidelines and the stator was recently electrically tested by the
OEM and found to be well within acceptable limits for safe operation.  All metal surfaces were coated with
Tectyl before being placed into storage.

Turbine

Application
This General Electric tandem-compound turbine is designed for utility application and is well suited for
conventional, biomass and combined cycle integration.  The double-flow exhaust provides greater
efficiency where lower cooling water temperatures are available and permits a greater output than a
single-flow unit.  Arrangement of the intermediate stages, uncontrolled extraction openings is designed
obtain high cycle efficiencies by reducing heat loss to the condenser cooling water.

Design Features
The HP turbine is a single casing design allowing to better suit service conditions. The double-flow LP
turbine is contained in an inner and outer shell design to allow for axial thermal expansion at the sliding
front standard.
